Currently, we are looking for the following position(s):

Position: Full-time Linguist (EN – VI/VI – EN)

Job Description:

  • Use professional CAT tools to perform localization work for documents, websites, softwares, manuals, etc. from English into Vietnamese and vice versa, adapt the text to meet local requirements
  • Perform various linguistic tasks to ensure the best localization products: translating, editing, proofreading, and reviewing the translation
  • Communicate/Discuss with other linguists to achieve the best work
  • Support management of the linguistic feedback loop
  • Other linguistic tasks as required


Requirements:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Foreign Languages, Translation or a related field
  • At least 2 years of working experience in localization/translation, preferably in Life Science and Marketing fields
  • Having a passion for translation career
  • Superb command of Vietnamese and Expert command of English
  • Required skills:
    • Proficient with terminology management and research skills
    • Good skills in Internet, Web, Microsoft Office and Email
    • Proven ability to work in a team and as individual effectively
    • Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks
    • Careful and hard-working, responsible for work, having a mindset for self-improvement
    • Good knowledge of workflow and/or other relevant translation tools (Trados, SDLX, MemoQ, Phrase…) is preferred

II – Job Description:

  • Take care of Translation/Edit/Review/Linguistic tasks.
  • Offer support/training (product, style guide, terminology, etc.) to other Thai vendors when necessary.
  • Communicate with the client’s POC (reviewer) on linguistic feedback/issues.
  • Attend training provided by clients about products, and language-specific matters. Share the meeting minutes with PM, and suggest the solution if there’s any linguistic issue.
  • Report to PM about other Thai vendors’ quality and performance.
  • Evaluate quality if requested by PM or HR.

  • Good command of source languages: English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, German, Thai, Indonesian, Malay, Arabic, French, Russian, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese
  • Fine and natural style of translation
  • Years of experience: at least 2 years in the localization/translation industry
  • BA or MA in Linguistics, Foreign Languages, Translation or related field(s)
  • Ability to learn tools quickly
  • Hard-working, careful, detail-minded and deadline-driven
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Strong capability to multitask and prioritize, good time management skills
  • Ability to work under high pressure, work independently or in groups

 
Preferred:

  • Working as a full-time freelancer
  • Good knowledge of Marketing, Life Sciences, Medical, Finance, Tourism and/or Games
  • Skillful Computer-Aided Translation (CAT) Tool usage


II – Main Tasks

  • Translate/edit/review content from English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, German, Thai, Indonesian, Malay, Arabic, French, Russian, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese to Vietnamese and vice versa
  • Do the other linguist tasks assigned
